Yesterday i finally got out of hospital after 5 difficult days. As i stepped out in the cold, i put my earphones in and switched my playlist on. This song came first, and suddenly it felt really meaningful and empowering. Like a good omen

I listened to this song while I traveled with my family to Tlemcen in Algeria, that country is 70% young people, Tlemcen beaches at night are soo active and just music everywhere restaurants near the beach, people drinking Arabic tea and just an overall feeling of freedom and the smell of the Mediterranean sea, beaches were heavenly too, now Everytime I listen to this I remember those summer vibes.

This song originally came out when I was 4 years old. I grew up hearing it in my teens and never really understood it. The lyrics are getting more and more poignant as I am about to turn 40. "So many songs we forgot to play" kills me. There's a point in all our lives when it's the last time we'll ever do something. Last time we'll pet a dog. Last time we'll laugh. Last time we'll enjoy a burger. I mean, we always think of family and friends and of course those are the biggest but it's sad to think of all the little things we will do for the last time before we die.

Having lived through the 'Cold War' era, I can really relate to this song . This song is even more poignant than ever with the escalating tensions in every corner of the World.
Finally, someone who gets the context of the song! The first time I heard it and saw the official video, I immediately knew it was about the nuclear tension and the impending doom of humanity.

Originally this was a "pop song" but if you actually take the time to absorb the lyrics, they are absolutely brilliant and so meaningful. Awesome.
@Noel Dada I am not saying there is anything wrong with pop songs. I love pop songs. My point is that while this song can be enjoyed as just that: a pop song, it can also be appreciated for its lyrical brilliance. That is something that you cannot say for all pop songs. The lyrics are what sets this "pop song" apart from many others.
It’s still a pop song and nothing wrong with that. Letting the masses enjoy great lyrics is better that some elite group of people keep it to themselves. Nothing wrong with pop.
